wondering with aching feet.

haha, i quite like that pun :D

walked a great deal today. haha, when i told Mr De Souza about how i won’t be around to help the juniors for a while, and that i was going to China, his next statement was immediately,” so what will you be getting for me?”

i answered pandas (with a huge smile) and he immediately went “it’s okay, it’s okay, i don’t want it anymore.”

haha, obviously right! what else can you possibly get in China apart from pandas :D

in seven hours, i’ll have to be up and getting ready to go to the airport, i might as well stay up eh?

who’s willing to stay up till 4 am with me? anyone?

we might have cookies (:

and the kaya won’t fit into the nice bags :(

bye everyone! i’ll see you on the 2nd! :D

by the way, my flight reaches Singapore at about 7.25 pm, come if you want, i’d love to see you guys :D

this close):

i think Stephanie and i are like twins or something. we got the same for overall last year AND this year, haha. and i remember her saying that she’ll do better than me this time and i’d tell her that that wouldn’t happen, and we got the same again. cool eh :D

still, i have to wish i did better. but it’s over, and i’ll work hard to maintain straight distinctions next year so i can keep music :D

leaving for China in two days! haha, i honestly can’t wait. think it’ll be great fun man, i get to ride a Maglev train if i’m not wrong. and i’ll be going to two bookstores in Shanghai, which gives me an opportunity to stock up on Chinese books!

haha, seeing as my Chinese pulled down my grades (AGAIN!!!), i’ll work real hard on Chinese too! :D

and well, hope i make good friends during the exchanges. think it’ll be totally cool. and fun. and cold. real cold. :(

the jacket they gave isn’t very pretty :/

well, anyone free to go Junction 8 with me tomorrow? i need to get some stuff, and i really don’t wanna go alone :/

then again, i’m aiming to be home at about 3, so yep. real fast trip to a not very near place. yep :D

but i don’t have lunch at home anyway, so i might as well eat there and get home later. like, about 4-ish? cos i do have quite a lot of stuff to look for and get. in which case, i would really like to have someone around.

haha, talking to myself here, ignore it :D

who wants to go send me off!

meet you at the airport at 5.30 on Friday kay! :D

loving 神探伽利略 :D

wasting time.

school’s seriously wasting my time. i’ve already made my subject combination choices and i stick to my choices, unless, for some strange reason i decide to torment myself by taking triple science, full lit elect history AND music, and last time i checked i’m still relatively sane and will not do that to myself.

ahh. annoyance :/

i finished Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox today. i think the Artemis Fowl series is still going strong with strong suggestions at another instalment in the series. i’m glad, i was quite depressed when i heard that The Eternity Code was the last of the series :D

but still, i think Eoin Colfer’s running out of ideas. the book seemed far more desparate to heighten tension than usual, and it was far more complicated than what the other books are like. not quite what i would like to read, cos the simpler the plots are the more ingenious i would think they are.

still, i enjoyed the book a whole lot. how i wish Holly and Artemis would be a couple, or Artemis and Minerva. i think they’d have a whole lot of fun with each other (verbal sense, not anything else) :D

all the best, Eoin Colfer! write a book i’ll be proud to keep on my bedside table! :D

then again, i’ve got the Artic Incident on my bedside table for eons, so… keep up the good work! :D

i can’t get used to Abel. he sounds so weird and all, there’s this weird airy sound when i play the notes. not nice :(

i miss Sophie. ZIYING! take care of her kay! :’(

think 不流泪的机场 is quite nice. JJ’s quite a good singer. surprising, considering he’s Singaporean. no offence.

enjoy :D

disappointed.

i typed out about a 100 word long paragraph, but i’m leaving it where it belongs. lost in the jungle of cyberspace. some things are better left unsaid.

but i have to say, i expected more from you.

the musical preparations are coming along great mans. it’s the funnest thing i’ve done in a while and all that turning around and stuff does great for relieving stress :D

still, it’s sorta annoying that i have to miss band for it :/

and i’ve got glitter all over me, and people kept asking me why. but i still like the way Jamie asked me the best.

“why are you so shiny?”

hahaha :D

think i’ll name my new clarinet Abel. cos he’s able :D

haha, maybe i should keep thinking :D

thanks dude :D

fine.

i was in a relatively good mood today, despite the rather boring seminar. the most useful thing i brought home was that 25 page long handout.

but whatever. you can think whatever you like, i know my conscience is clear. i don’t do or say things with an ulterior motive, even if i really hate someone. if you don’t know that, then i’m okay with it.

you don’t know much about me anyway.

i’m keeping my promise to myself.

untitled.

results are screwed up lah.

except Science. i’m really proud of my Science :D

but i’m very annoyed about History and Math. and Lit’s just heartbreaking :(

more papers tomorrow. still not looking forward to it.

i broke my promise to myself :(

reflection

books translate a great deal of wisdom if you bother to think about it.

The Five People You Meet In Heaven was the first book to wow me.

” “Your voice will come. We all go through the same thing. You cannot talk when you first arrive.”
He smiled. “It helps you listen.” “

” “Strangers are just family you have yet to come to know.” “

” “Life has to end. Love doesn’t” “

” “My funeral,” the Blue Man said. “Look at the mourners. Some did not even know me well, yet they came. Why? Did you ever wonder? Why people gather when others die? Why people feel they should?”
“It is because the human spirit knows, deep down, that all lives intersect. That death doesn’t just take someone, it misses someone else, and in the small distance between being taken and being missed, lives are changed.
“You say you should have died instead of me. But during my time on earth, people died instead of me, too. It happens everyday. When lightning strikes a minute after you are gone, or an airplane crashes that you might have been on. When your colleague falls ill and you do not. We think such things are random. But there is a balance to it all. One withers, another grows. Birth and death are part of a whole.” “

the second book that got me thinking was the Sec Ones’ Lit book, The Giver. many many of them were surprised when they saw me carrying the book, haha.

people are constantly talking about how choices are so important, how choices govern our lives, how difficult some choices can be to make. sometimes, we find it so difficult to choose that we wish someone else would choose for us, just to save us the headache.

people are constantly wishing for a world without pain, without lies, without anger, sadness, disappointment.

in The Giver, the world they live in is perfect. everything is chosen for each individual. who they become, what job they get, who they get married to, who their kids are. everything is chosen for them, decided for them. they don’t know pain, they don’t worry, they don’t feel grief. they can’t have a burning desire for anything whatsoever. their lives are governed by rules which are strictly adhered to, for example, no lying, no being rude etc. they do what they’re told.

but to restrict choices, they don’t know colour. they don’t know sunshine, they don’t know snow, or hills, as they disrupt work. their world is grey, set in stone. they can’t choose.

without choices, they would never make the wrong ones. they would never make choices like who they marry, who their kids are. the course of their life has already been set for them. they don’t think about stuff like money or clothes, or cellphones or anything like that. they just… live.

a world without pain, without sadness, without anger. it’s just a world without love.

do you really want that? does anyone really want that?

open house was a waste of time.

drawn to a conclusion

band prac is tiring.

SENTOSA! (:

sec two level outing to Sentosa today(:

had intended to wake up earlier to see if i can get donuts from Novena, but, me, being me, couldn’t wake up, so… :D

and quite funny, we were supposed to meet at the AMPHITHEATRE at VIVOCITY but i mis-intepreted it and thought it was in SCHOOL, so i got to SCHOOL at 10.05 when we were supposed to meet at VIVOCITY at 10.

:/

and i thought Habourfront was along the green line -.-

so, because of that, i was contemplating whether or not i should take 960 down to City Hall area,  700 or 171 to Newton MRT station, 700 to Marina Centre, 960 to Bugis station or 66 or 67 to a station really far down the green line. in the end, i took 960 to Bugis.

i missed my stop -.-

so, i had to walk from Bugis Junction back to Bugis station. and at Bugis station i realised that Habourfront wasn’t on the green line, it was on the purple line.

grr.

so i took the MRT from Bugis to Outram Park interchange and changed to the purple line, crossing the long long underpass to the platform. when i finally got there, i went looking around for Dippin’ Donuts, and, hooray, it wasn’t open.

-_-”’

and i saw a Six shop, one of the only few in Singapore, and i blew $12.90 on a panda bracelet :D

and after that, i bought my ticket and went off to Sentosa. was supposed to meet them at Palawan beach, and because i didn’t have a map, i smartly got off at Imbiah station.

yay.

walked over to Beach Station, and because i read my map WRONGLY, i walked towards Siloso Beach. and i kept on walking, all the way down and just one tram station before the end, i realised i was walking in the wrong direction.

my gosh.

and i didn’t know that trams were free, so i walked ALL THE WAY back down to Beach Station and all the way down to Palawan Beach.

so, instead of meeting at 10 am, i got there at 12.15. really hot, really tired.

i’m one of the most punctual people ever mans :D

so… first thing i did there was to watch bags while the others went to wash up. and after they washed up, we ate sandwiches, jelly, home made popcorn chicken, and we forgot to eat up Abigail’s muffins -.-

well, we went to play in the sea after that. haha, it sure was fun getting people wet and running away from everyone :D

i personally feel that we missed out on a LOT of camwhoring opportunities, like on the beach, in the water etc. oh wells, we’ll have more opportunities next time :D

it was hot. real hot. my nose and the area near it is pink now. like real pink. :D

went back to Vivo after washing sand off me and finishing up my brainfreeze. yes, it was that hot that even a brainfreeze couldn’t freeze up my brain :(

we had a LOT of fun with the three puck air hockey table. it was SO SO FUN MANS! and the drum game. haha, absolute fun-ness mans :D

well, it was a long day and everyone was really tired, so everyone went home :D

and the 190 came really really quickly today :D

fun-ness, now back to school and band prac tomorrow :D

whoever would have thought that the Shareler from Ang Mo Kio Secondary Band, the YPSB pianist for Wind Ensemble AND Symphonic Band would be the same Shareler i took piano with when we were wee little kids (:

as Weixiang said, the world really is shrinking :D

hi again(:

it’s been a while since i blogged eh? i know you’ve missed me! :D

honestly, i don’t feel much difference between EOYs period and after EOYs, just that i’m not studying at all. haha, whatever, shan’t reflect on exams man. what’s there to reflect on anyway :D

i’ve been watching 命中注定我爱你 for a few weeks now. episode 12 is sadd lah! i was crying my way through the episode :’(

well, i’ve finished watching the show, think i’ll move on to trying to catch up with Bleach, going to start on 斗牛要不要,finish 公主小妹 and 花样少年少女. and of course, practice my piano and my clarinet really really hard! :D

HITSUGAYA TOUSHIROU!!! the coolest captain of the thirteen squads :D

haha :D

i got my grade 7 cert already! i think it’s superbly fast man, i’m happy (:

it’s been six years since i got a cert like that :D

i strongly recommend everyone to listen to 右手边, sung by 光良. i’ve always thought that he’s a really good singer, and this song’s really nice too! :D

i’ve only recently read Tuesdays with Morrie and The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom. really really good books with wisdom all over the place. i do strongly recommend people to read them :D

and my winamp’s not working with me :(

well, i think Emily Pang’s link looks a little lonely, so if anyone wants me to link them leave a comment yeah? :D

因为我相信 说过了再见 一定会再见 (:
